3D Holographic Picture Draft
The 3D hologram uses the same printing media as any other holographic products. As a main material you can choose not only a film with a silver metallic layer but also a film of any color from our offer. Three-dimensional presentation is not negatively affected by a choice of media’s color as it is in 2D holograms where holographic effect on color films are a bit less visible than on a silver background. The 3D hologram offers a real three-dimensional picture of a draft picture observed by free eye without any special glasses, with normal lightning and in variety of observance angles. This visualizing technique offers a surprising depth of dimensional perception that is evident even at poor lighting conditions. The maximum depth of dimensional perception is only reached at a full sunlight. When observing 3D hologram by one eye only from a different angle, you experience to see a different picture each time, which corresponds with the draft picture in the same angle.
How to Design 3D Model:
Creation of a graphical model of a 3D holographic self-adhesive sticker is more complicated than a 2D designed and requires specific software tools. There are 2 methods for creating a 3D picture of a real three-dimensional object. The first one needs a draft to be done in 3D vectorial graphic program such as Autodesk 3D Studio MAX (3ds Max, Maya, Rhino3D etc). Considering the hologram production, this method is the most suitable and therefore preferred and recommended. Apart from dimensional pictures you can also add 2D items (2D pictures, symbols and texts) into your draft in this editor. The 2D items can be placed into more layers and this way they can be visible at more areas according to actual sticker’s rotation or an observance angle. You can try the second method when there is an absence of software tools or no experience with complex designs. The second option consists of providing us with the object that should be placed on the hologram. We will take photos of this object from precisely defined angles and all photos will be digitally processed in order to create a holographic master. It is important to mention there will be higher financial costs for the production of the design as well as the price increase.
The initiation of 3D sticker production always starts with holographic „master“production by which these stickers are later compressed. There is the difference between this kind of a process and the process used in single and two layered holograms where there is a need of a laser burnt master. The most important and also most expensive part of the whole production is the production and digital preparation of the master. The complexity of the draft dictates the price of the holograph and is always calculated individually.
